Yale Appliance group’s key focus was orientated around facilitating, supporting and servicing Australasian retailers in the purchase of electronic goods from South East Asia. In 2006, Yale Appliance Group joined forces with Prima Australasia in Melbourne, forming Yale Prima Pty Ltd. This newly found acquisition attracted interest from a South African public company, Nu World Holdings, who are one of South Africa’s major distributers of appliances, white & brown goods. They currently own the major shareholding in Yale Prima. From Yale Prima’s inception, the growth and elevation to one of Australia’s leading distributors in consumer electronics , appliances, white & brown goods in the retail space, grew exponentially. Expanding and diversifying the companies influence in other retail spaces was a core business objective for Yale Prima management and shareholders a like. In 2009, Yale Prima started a new division focused on the distribution of branded and non- branded FMCG (Fast Moving Consumable Goods) ranging from Toiletries, Cosmetics, Health & Beauty and Household Goods. Leveraging expertise acquired in our electronic side of the company made the transition to this newly formulated division considerably easier.
