Our Journey

Our story began in 2000 when the Yale Appliance Group started its operations as a distributor of both branded and non-branded consumer electronics, appliances, and white goods. With a primary focus on supporting Australasian retailers in purchasing electronic goods from East Asia, our reputation quickly grew.

In 2006, a significant merger took place. Yale Appliance Group and Prima Australasia combined forces in Melbourne, birthing Yale Prima Pty Ltd. This union caught the attention of Nu World Holdings, a leading South African public company known for its vast distribution of appliances and both white & brown goods. They now hold the majority shareholding in Yale Prima.

From our inception, Yale Prima's trajectory has been nothing short of remarkable. We rapidly ascended to become one of Australia's leading distributors in consumer electronics, appliances, and both white & brown goods in the retail space. 

But we didn't stop there. In 2009, we ventured into the world of FMCG (Fast Moving Consumable Goods), distributing a diverse range of products from Toiletries and Cosmetics to Health & Beauty and Household Goods. Our experience in electronics made this transition smooth, and soon, Yale Prima was recognized as a leader in this retail sector as well.
